Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of effjobs.com and the EffJobs service (together, "EffJobs"). EffJobs is run by Heurystix Technologies Private Limited ("Heurystix", "we", "us"), CIN U62011MR2026PTC478517, registered office Shop-10, Bhoomi Acres Phase 2, Hiranandani Estate, Kasarvadavali, Thane 400615, Maharashtra, India.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using EffJobs, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use EffJobs.

2. What EffJobs does

EffJobs helps you with your job search. You tell us about yourself and the jobs you want. Our AI tools look for matching jobs and draft a cover note for each one, and we add them to your private tracker. You decide whether to apply, and you submit every application yourself. We never apply on your behalf.

Heurystix is not a recruiter, placement agency or employer. We do not act for employers, we do not put you forward to employers, and we do not make hiring decisions.

3. Who can use EffJobs

You must be 18 or older to use EffJobs. By signing up, you confirm that you are.

4. Your account

• Give us accurate details when you sign up, and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password secret and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us straight away at vinod@heurystix.com if you think someone else has used your account.
• One account per person, for your own job search only.

5. No guarantee of interviews, offers or jobs

EffJobs only helps. We do not guarantee that you will get replies, interviews, job offers or a job, or that any job will suit you or still be open. Employers decide whom to interview and hire, and how and when they reply.

6. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• your information: making sure your CV and profile details are true, accurate and up to date, including your salary, notice period and visa or work-authorisation status;
• reviewing every draft: reading, checking and editing each cover note and any other AI-generated content before you use it. You are responsible for anything you send;
• your applications: deciding which jobs to apply for, submitting your own applications, and following each employer's and job site's rules; and
• checking jobs and employers: confirming that a job is real, open and right for you before you apply or share personal details with an employer.

7. AI-generated content

EffJobs uses AI to suggest jobs, explain why they may fit, and draft cover notes. AI can make mistakes. It can get facts wrong, misread your CV or a job ad, or produce text that is out of date, incomplete or unsuitable. Treat everything it produces as a draft, not as fact or advice.

8. Job listings and other sites

The jobs in your tracker come from third-party sources, such as company career pages and job sites. We do not own, verify or endorse these listings or employers. We are not responsible for whether a listing is accurate or genuine, whether the job is still available, or how an employer or job site treats you or your data. Links to other sites are for convenience only, and using those sites is on their terms.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• give false or misleading information, or pretend to be someone else;
• upload anyone else's CV or personal data;
• upload anything unlawful, harmful, defamatory or infringing, or any malware;
• scrape, copy or harvest content or data from EffJobs, by automated tools or otherwise;
• use bots, scripts or other automated means to access or use EffJobs, or overload or disrupt it;
• try to get into accounts, systems or parts of EffJobs you are not meant to access, or get around our security;
• copy, decompile, reverse engineer or try to extract the source code or AI prompts behind EffJobs, except where the law allows this; or
• use EffJobs for anything unlawful or for any purpose other than your own job search, including reselling it or building a competing service.

10. Your content

You keep ownership of your CV, profile details and notes ("your content"). You give Heurystix a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process (including with AI) and display your content, only so that we can provide EffJobs to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when your content is deleted.

Cover notes drafted for you are yours to use, edit and send for your own job search.

You confirm that you have the right to share your content with us and that it does not break any law or anyone else's rights.

11. Our content and brand

Apart from your content, everything on EffJobs, including the software, design, text, graphics, logos and AI prompts, is owned by Heurystix or used with permission, and is protected by law. "EffJobs" and "Heurystix" and their logos are our trade names and marks. Please do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse or are connected with you.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using EffJobs and delete your account at any time with the delete button in Settings. If you can't log in, email vinod@heurystix.com for help.

We may suspend or close your account, or remove content, if you break these terms, if we have to do so by law, or to protect other users, Heurystix or EffJobs. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond first. We may also change, pause or stop EffJobs, or any part of it. If we stop the service, we will tell you in advance where we can.

When your account is closed, we delete your data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimers

EffJobs is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or secure, that job matches will be complete or suitable, or that AI-generated content will be accurate. See our Disclaimer.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of income, job opportunity, data or reputation, arising from your use of EffJobs, any job listing or employer, or any AI-generated content; and
• our total liability to you for anything arising from your use of EffJobs is limited to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights under the DPDP Act or consumer protection law.

15. Indemnity

If you break these terms, misuse EffJobs or upload content you had no right to share, and this leads to a claim against Heurystix, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs (including legal fees) that we incur as a result.

16. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Thane and Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about these terms or EffJobs. This does not take away any right you have to complain to a consumer commission or to the Data Protection Board of India.

17. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in your account before it takes effect. If you keep using EffJobs after a change, you accept the updated terms.

18. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else.
